Charix are made with the finest natural leathers and should be maintained for long term use. First, brush off excess dirt and dust with a brush or a damp cloth. Then, apply a simple shoe cream around your Charix that will nourish the leather and keep it supple. As a final touch, buff to a shine with a brush or dry cloth, using a back-and-forth motion, to get rid of any small bits of wax.
We recommend using a suede protector spray to help the leather repel dirt and water. Ideally you should do this before the first wear. For regular maintenance, use a suede brush to remove any dirt and buff using the back (rubber) side of the brush to remove any marks.
Our shoes generally fit true to size and fit snug. If you don't prefer a snug fit, order half size-up.. If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing-up. For more details, visit our size guide page.
Charix are made in European sizing and should fit snug at first. It’s OK if your toe touches the front of the shoe without curling or pain. With each wear, your Charix will stretch and become even more comfortable as the memory foam and natural leather continue to mold to your feet.
Breaking them in
A good practice is to keep your new Charix on your feet at home first, like sleepers. Let them settle, absorb the body temperature and stretch a bit before you wear them outside. You can do that with thick socks at first too, to expedite the break-in process. Once you start wearing your Charix outside, they will continue to settle and get more comfortable every day. Depending on your feet type, frequency of wear and outside temperature, the break-in process may take from a few hours to a few days.
Due to the unique, closed design of our classic Charix, they are intended to fit perfectly snug and true to size. Therefore, the classic Charix does not accommodate well for orthotics or other special considerations. We encourage you to try our open-back mules, if you need more flexibility.
We only offer the colors shown in our website. If you see a color on our Intagram feed or in a picture that is not on the "Shop" section of our website, that means we no longer offer that color.

Canada Import Tax and Duties Disclaimer:
When we ship Charix from the U.S. to Canada, our shoes are subject to the Canadian Government’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) and additional duty. The GST/PST/HST tax rates depend on the province that the shoes are shipping to. The duty rate is based on the country of manufacturing origin (Turkey), the type of goods and their value.
The Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) has an estimator that calculates the duty and GST/HST tax. CBSA’s Duty and Taxes Estimator provides an estimate only. The final amount of applicable duties and taxes may vary from the estimate and will be determined by Canadian Customs during clearance. For a pair of Charix, the rates vary between $50-80 (CAD) depending on the province, according to the calculator.
